Privacy Policy
How personal information is collected, used and protected across the site.
TheWellnessCues does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
Scope of this policy
This policy explains how personal information is handled across thewellnesscues.com and the wellness guidance offered through it. It applies to visitors who read the site, to people who submit the contact form, to subscribers of the email updates and to anyone who creates an account.
Using the site means accepting the practices set out below. Where a separate written agreement covers a particular arrangement, the terms of that agreement take priority over this page.
Information that gets collected
Only information needed to answer a message, deliver guidance or keep an account working is collected. It falls into a few plain categories.
- Details submitted directly, such as a first name, last name, email address, phone number and password chosen at sign up.
- The content of messages sent through the contact form, including the subject line and anything written in the message field.
- Consent choices recorded on the sign up form, including which text message permissions were selected and which were left unselected.
- Technical details gathered automatically by the hosting service, such as browser type, device type, approximate region and the pages opened during a visit.
Sensitive health records, diagnoses, prescriptions and clinical documents are never requested and should not be submitted through any form on this site.
How the information gets used
Collected information supports a small number of clearly defined purposes.
- Setting up and maintaining account access.
- Replying to questions submitted through the contact form.
- Sending service messages that were agreed to, such as enrollment confirmations and check ins.
- Sending marketing messages, but only where that separate permission was given.
- Keeping the site secure, spotting misuse and fixing faults that affect how pages load.
Information is never used to make automated decisions that produce legal effects, and it is never used to build profiles for sale to advertisers.
Text message permissions
Service messages and marketing messages are two separate permissions. Selecting one does not select the other, and neither is a condition of creating an account or receiving guidance.
Message frequency varies with the type of guidance being followed. Standard message and data rates set by the mobile carrier may apply. Replying STOP to any message ends that stream, and replying HELP returns support information. Mobile opt in data and consent records are never shared with third parties for their own marketing.
Cookies and similar technology
The site uses a small number of cookies to keep pages working correctly, remember preferences within a session and understand which pages get opened most often. None of these cookies read personal files on a device.
Browser settings can block or clear cookies at any time. Blocking them may affect how some parts of the site behave, though the written guidance itself stays readable.
Sharing with service providers
Some ordinary functions depend on outside providers, such as website hosting, email delivery and message sending. Those providers receive only what they need to perform their function and are required to keep it confidential.
- Providers act on written instruction and may not use information for their own purposes.
- Information may be disclosed where a valid legal request, court order or regulatory obligation requires it.
- Information may be shared where it is necessary to protect the safety of a person or to investigate suspected misuse of the site.
How long information is kept
Account details are kept while the account stays open and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that records remain accurate if a question arises later. Contact form messages are kept long enough to handle the matter raised and to keep a record of the reply.
Consent records for text messages are kept for as long as the permission stands and for a period after it is withdrawn, since proof of what was agreed to and when it changed has to be retained.
Keeping information secure
Reasonable technical and organisational measures protect information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. These include encrypted connections, restricted access to stored records and routine review of the tools in use.
No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so absolute protection cannot be promised. Anything highly sensitive should be shared through a channel suited to it rather than through a web form.
Choices available at any time
Control over personal information stays with the person it belongs to.
- Ask for a copy of the information held about you.
- Ask for anything inaccurate to be corrected.
- Ask for deletion where there is no continuing reason to keep it.
- Withdraw text message consent, either by replying STOP or by writing in.
- Unsubscribe from email updates using the link included in every message.
Requests are answered within the period set by applicable law. Verification of identity may be requested first, so that information is not released to the wrong person.
Children and young people
The site is intended for adults aged eighteen or older. Accounts are not knowingly created for anyone under that age, and information is not knowingly collected from them.
If it becomes clear that details belonging to a minor have been submitted, those details are removed from the records. A parent or guardian who believes this has happened is welcome to write in and ask for removal.
Links to other websites
Some pages may link to outside resources for background reading. Those websites operate under their own privacy practices, which are not controlled here and may differ from this policy.
Reading the privacy notice of any site before submitting information to it is always worthwhile.
Changes and how to raise a question
This policy is reviewed periodically and may be updated as practices, tools or legal requirements change. The date shown at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision, and continued use of the site after a revision means the updated version applies.
